Your Role: Deal Advisory Director

Role Purpose

Providing leadership and expertise across complex corporate transactions

​​Director in the Deal Advisory team, which offers accounting, tax and financial support services to clients planning or entering corporate transactions, business restructuring, growth or investment.​​

In the first three months, the Deal Advisory Director will focus on building a strong understanding of the team’s offerings, resources and capabilities, while developing and refining systems and processes. They will play an active role in communicating the team’s objectives and expertise internally and will begin building awareness of the Deal Advisory offering and their personal role within the local professional community. Over time, the role will take the lead in the delivery of Deal Advisory services, particularly Financial Due Diligence assignments, alongside supporting the management and development of the team. The Director will also further establish their own network of referrers and professional contacts and take an active role in marketing the firm’s services to prospects, referrers and existing contacts.

The Deal Advisory Director will work closely with fellow directors and client leads to deliver joined-up, high-quality advice to clients. The role involves regular collaboration with the Audit and Business Support Services teams on the preparation of financial models, accounts and due diligence work, as well as working alongside the Tax team to ensure a fully integrated approach to transaction support. The Director will also engage with the Marketing Assistant to support the promotion of Deal Advisory services and the development of the firm’s profile with prospects, referrers and professional contacts.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

The successful candidate will demonstrate proven technical expertise in Deal Advisory, particularly in Financial Due Diligence and Transaction Support, alongside strong leadership and people management experience. They will bring sound commercial acumen, a positive and encouraging approach, and the ability to act as a trusted adviser to clients and colleagues alike. A commitment to continuous learning and development, both personally and in supporting others, is essential, as is being a clear and effective communicator. Candidates must be professionally qualified (CTA, ACA or ACCA), have relevant Deal Advisory or Transaction Support experience, be practice trained, and have a minimum of two years’ experience at Senior Manager or Director level.
