Your Role: Business Administration Apprentice
Role Purpose
The Business Administration Apprentice will provide administrative and operational support across bookkeeping, human resources, and marketing. This role is designed to develop a broad range of business skills while supporting the day to day activity of the firm. The apprentice will work towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification while gaining practical, hands on experience in a professional services environment
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Business Administration Apprenticeship will include:
Bookkeeping & Finance Support
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and invoice processing
- Support the maintenance of accurate financial records and filing
- Assist with expense processing and general finance administration
- Liaise with internal teams to gather financial information as required
- Support month-end administrative tasks under supervision
Human Resources Support
- Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including:
- New starter onboarding paperwork and coordination
- Maintaining employee records and HR systems
- Supporting training and development administration
- Assist with scheduling meetings, interviews and HR reviews
- Support the preparation of HR documentation in line with company policies
- Handle confidential employee information appropriately and professionally
Marketing & Communications Support
- Support basic marketing activity, including:
- Assisting with website updates and content uploads
- Supporting social media posts and engagement
- Helping coordinate internal communications and events
- Assist with maintaining marketing materials and databases
- Support marketing campaigns and initiatives as directed
General Administration
- Provide general administrative support to teams as required
- Manage emails, documents and data accurately and efficiently
- Support the organisation of meetings, events and internal communications
- Work collaboratively across departments to support business priorities
Training and Development
- Completion of the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship
- On-the-job training and mentoring across finance, HR and marketing
- Dedicated time for off-the-job training in line with the apprenticeship requirements
- Development of transferable business, communication and organisational skills
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Essential
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with confidential information appropriately
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
Desirable
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Interest in business administration, finance, HR or marketing
- Professional and approachable manner
- Reliable and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
