Your Role: Audit Manager
The Audit Manager is a member of the Corporate Team. They will report to a Client Director and work alongside managers and senior managers from all client facing teams across the firm. They will have responsibility for supporting the development of employees at all levels within the Corporate Team.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Audit Manager will include:
Managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients, including large SMEs, while acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client relationships. Responsibilities include supervising junior staff and supporting their professional development, conducting peer reviews and maintaining quality control standards, and participating in compliance and regulatory administrative activities to ensure adherence to relevant professional and statutory requirements.
Who You’ll Work With
Key Relationships
Working closely with Client Directors and Client Managers across the firm, as well as trainees within the corporate team. The role also involves maintaining regular communication with client contacts and building professional relationships with business introducers and other external advisers, such as financial advisers and pension advisers.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of four years’ post-qualification experience, demonstrating a well-organised approach to work and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. The role requires strong coaching and delegation skills, alongside a clear commercial focus. The individual should be a confident communicator, capable of explaining complex technical matters to clients and junior staff in a clear and accessible way for those with less experience or without an audit background. They should work in a supportive, collaborative and considerate manner with colleagues at all levels, responding positively to requests for assistance and proactively offering support where needed. A genuine enthusiasm for the profession and a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement are also essential.
