Audit Senior

Your Role: Financial Controller

To provide an efficient and accurate Company Secretarial service to clients with a high level of collaboration with client directors and managers. A member of the Business Support Services team that sit within the Commercial Department. The role will be at supervisor level.

The responsibilities of the Company Secretarial Administrator will include:

  • To maintain accurate client statutory records (all companies and LLPs), using the Diligent database.
  • Keep diligent up to date for all clients for internal responsibility changes and Companies House filings
  • Ensuring all company filing requirements and deadline are monitored and communicated effectively to managers
  • Preparation and filing of dormant accounts at Companies House
  • Annual filing of charities accounts
  • Incorporation of new companies
  • Administration of share transfers, changes of registered office and service address, changes of accounting dates, striking off companies and handling of filing fees
  • Dealing with necessary paperwork for issue of new company shares and share redesignations
  • Preparing dividend paperwork and all associated minutes
  • Preparation and filing of annual confirmation statements, including processing payments where appropriate. Liaising with clients and managers to ensure the statements are completed within statutory timescales.
  • Monitoring and submitting personal codes for PSCs in the allotted timeframe
  • Monitoring missing personal codes for Directors to ensure they are chased in advance of the confirmation statement filing deadline
  • Managing correspondence with Companies House, ensuring that the appropriate manager or director is made aware of any changes.
  • Simple amendments to Articles of Association and share capital changes
  • Liaising with solicitors for more complex transactions
  • Other various ad-hoc administrative duties for the Commercial Department

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Company Secretarial administration with a preference for applicants with an CGI qualification. (Chartered Governance Institute programme) 
  • ​Ideally, an experienced user of Diligent software package but experience of other company secretarial considered. 
  • ​Strong organisation and prioritisation skills 
  • ​A keen attention to detail 
  • ​Clear and effective spoken and written communications skills 
  • ​A commitment to your ongoing personal development
